Healing Heroes Outdoors (H2O)

SDC11735-(2)Healing Heroes Outdoors (H2O) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity with the goal to provide outdoor recreation opportunities to active duty, Veterans and Public Safety Heroes who have been wounded in the line of duty. Co founders John Noone of CHIEF and Scott Moss of Cherry Bekaert started the organization to give back to those brave men and women who serve our country and protect our freedom.

In 2012 H2O took 8 different heroes on two separate outdoor hunting excursions. These hunting trips took place in the end of December and early January on the
SDC11722 tail end of the duck and deer season in Moro, Arkansas. The Heroes and sponsors stayed at Big Creek Ducks-N-Bucks who have been sponsors of H2O for the last few years.

Hunting with H2O offers the Heroes time to relax and allows them to experience something they may not be able to otherwise afford and introduces some to the great American Tradition of hunting. H2O and their sponsors provide everything the Heroes need during their Outdoor adventure.

The Heroes that have attended previous H2O functions were selected through an application process. If you would like to apply or nominate a Hero, applications are still being acquired for this years visit to Big Creek Ducks-N-Bucks December 9th-12th. John Noone gives an insight to the ideal H2O participant, “We focus our efforts on selecting those folks who cannot afford the experience, and are well deserving based on their service. Whenever possible we select Heroes who are actively rehabilitating from their injuries and are attempting to return to service”. To receive an application contact John Noone at CHIEF.
